Big Update - 28th May

So there hasn't been many updates on this website as of late, and that is simply down to the fact that I have simply forgot to update it and have focused on mostly posting updates on Instagram and twitter.

In this post, I shall explain several things that gone on since the last update.

First of all, if you follow our Instagram, you'll know that the first disk of the album is being rerecorded with Real Guitars, this is being done by my good friend, James Shipley. As of this update, there are four songs rerecorded, and more on the way. As for vocal duties, that is being handled by my good friend Liam Bertetić. Liam has previously done vocals on the album, on disk 2, featuring on Sangreal by Sepricflesh.

With that last part being said, I would like to announce that today we are releasing our first official single to be rerecord and that track is, A Hymn For The Apocalypse! You will be able to find the song on Bandcamp and YouTube.

If you follow our Instagram, you will know that we recently announced the new name for the album, and that is Decimation of Mankind. When the album is released there will be two versions available, Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition. Standard Edition will only have the first disk and has originals on it, whereas Deluxe Edition will feature both disks.

And that is everything! Till next time!

Update - 29th January

19 days since the last update on here, way too long, but it's safe to say that there are a couple of updates that I have to announce today!

First of all, I would like to say that I have released a new track. This is my cover of "EdgeCrusher" by Fear Factory, and as mentioned in a post on Instagram, this features my good friend, Aidan Morris, of New Breed Hate Machine. I am thrilled to release this finally, and Im super excited for you all to hear it. The track can be found on my Soundcloud, OR on the "Music" tab on here.

Secondly, as previously mentioned, the shirts are now available for purchase, and currently, 4 have been sold! Im happy with the response I have got so far about the Merch, and did not expect it at all! Im glad that the design I created was good, as for a while I toyed with different ideas and designs, and that was the best of all.

I plan on working to get some more tracks released in the following weeks, even if it's not the track with vocals, and is only the instrumentals, I want you guys to hear what's going on on my end, and what's happening with the album! Currently, I can say that there are 11 tracks done instrumentally (I'm having to redo Dethklok due to a mistake on my end), and another 2 almost complete, so by the time Dethklok, and the other 2 are complete, Ill have 14 tracks ready, leaving only 4 left to be done! Then it's time to work on Vocals!

Anyway! That's all for now guys! See you soon!

Update - 10th January

So, for a little while, I've been toying with the idea of releasing some form of merch, and I've had a few people  ask me for Shirts, so I had decided to get some done. There is currently only one design available, as I feel it would be pointless to create more than one design. The front design has the logo on it, and the reverse has a line from "A Hymn For The Apocalypse" and also feature the pentagram. I hope you guys like the design, as I am excited to share this with you all. The Shirt can be found here:

So, just a bit of an add on to the last update, I have been working on a few things happening for the second disk, and trying to get things under way, and if things go my way, I will have some very exciting news to be sharing with you.

In the last post I mentioned that the "Fear Factory" cover would be "Demanufacture", but I have decided that instead, I will be doing "Edge Crusher".

Thanks Guys!

Update - 28th December

Hey guys, so it's been a few weeks since my last update and I figured I should talk about a few things that have gone on.

So, first of all, I just wanted to say that I have not in any way forgot about the album, I am still working on getting my laptop back up and running, and getting all of my software back onto it to continue working on the album.

Secondly, I have decided that I am going to TRY and do vocals using the MP3 files that I already have. If this fails, or does not sound right in my mind, I will re-record all of the songs. This may take a bit longer, but it will be more worth the wait.

FINALLY, the most exciting part I've been dying to share. I have made a major change in decision when it comes to this album. As you know, there are currently two covers on the album, Dethklok and SepticFlesh, but as of Today, I have decided to do a "Bonus Disk" so to speak. This bonus disk will include 8 tracks. And these 8 tracks will all be covers of bands that have had influence on myself and the album. There will be a total of 6 new tracks on this bonus disk, as I will be including the 2 currently released covers on this disk too.

The tracklist will be as followed:

Bolt Thrower - The Killchain

Death - Crystal Mountain

Hypocrisy - The Eye

Fear Factory - Demanufacture

Septicflesh - Sangreal

Dethklok - Fansong

Bloodbath - Eaten

Dissection -God Of Forbidden Light

This is not a definite tracklist, as I am still undecided on some songs. Thank you all for being so patient with me. I will keep you updated.

Update - 5th December

Okay, so I've been pretty quiet lately when it comes to the album, but that's because the worst thing imaginable happened.

I have lost all of the FL Studio files for the album.

I had them all on my laptop, where I thought they were safe, but out of stupidity, I forgot to back them up onto a USB stick, or onto a hardrive, or something. So I am now left with 2 choices:

1) I take the time to rerecord EVERY song, excluding Fansong and Sangreal, which could delay the album to even later next year than I thought.

or

2) When I record vocals, I just use the MP3 files, and risk it not sounding as good as I'd hoped.

I apologise to anyone who was excited about a January release. I promise that I will do what I can to get it done as soon as possible. I'm currently in the process of finalising lyrics and a few other things, so I will keep you guys update on how things are going.

As mentioned in the last post, I have one complete track released, and that is my cover on Sangreal, and that can be found on Youtube, Soundcloud and in the music tab of this website.

Again, my apologies to anyone who was looking forward to a January release, but I honestly do not think that will be the case.

Thank you for understanding.

Update - 31st October

Today, I am VERY proud to announce that I have released my cover of Sangreal by SepticFlesh.

This track is the first fully complete track, featuring vocals from special guest, Liam Robert Bertetić of Alpha I Am, and Nephilim. To say that I'm happy with how this track ended up is an understatement, as I was completely blown away by Liam's vocals.

I mentioned in a previous post that I would possibly be streaming the entire album on Youtube, and I would like to announce that I have decided to go ahead with this, and once every track is complete and recorded, I will be streaming it all on YouTube BEFORE the initial release date in January.

With the release of this track, I will make it available to download through the "Music" tab on this website and through my Soundcloud page.

I would like thank Liam so much for being a guest on this track, and being super helpful when it came to completing it. You will be able to find his channels through the following links:

Alpha I Am (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQfrXo_Ia6JQmp-Wy6AjC9g)

Nephilim (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHFOolz782mhbSfSqY-dhhQ)

As time progresses, I will continue to keep you updated on the album, and how it's coming along. Within the next week or so, I will have another update on everything that's going on with the album. As it stands, I currently have lyrics written and prepared for two songs, which are ready to be recorded soon!

Till next time.

Update - 27th October

So, as mentioned in the previous post, I said that everything in the album would be done by Me, Myself, and I. Well, it seems like there has been a slight change with this, as today I announce that for my cover of both Sangreal (By SepticFlesh), and Fansong (By Dethklok), I will have a guest vocalist on each track. I will not be announcing who these vocalists will be just yet, as we are still working on getting the tracks complete, but as soon as I'm ready, I will announce it, and I will provide a link to their Youtube channel, and their own band.

With this being said, I am also happy to announce that I will (hopefully) be releasing the full album on January 16th of 2018. On the running up to this date, I may post update videos to YouTube showing what I'm working on and how things are going so far. On said release date, I will post the full album stream on YouTube, Soundcloud, and on this website for you guys to listen to.

As it stands, the vocal-less versions of all tracks are available for Download through the "Music" page on this website, and through SoundCloud, but when it gets closer to the release date, I will be removing the Vocal-less versions from both websites and replacing them with the FULL songs, but will have them on a private setting until day of release. The album will be free to Download, as I am not doing this to make money.

As shown, the album will have 11 tracks. 2 tracks will be an Intro and Outro. 2 Tracks will be the two covers, and the remaining 7 songs will be myself on Vocals.

This is the Tracklist:

1. Through The Graves We March...

2. Torn To Pieces

3. Facing My Insanity

4. A Hymn For The Apocalypse

5. The Plague

6. Execution Of God

7. Machines Of Vengeance

8. I Am Wrath

9. ... And To The Grave We Return

10. Sangreal (SepticFlesh Cover Feat... Special Guest)

11. Fansong (Dethklok Cover Feat... Special Guest)

I am super excited to share this with you and continue to share the journey in making this album.

Thank you guys!

Just a bit about me.

So? Who the hell am I?

I'm Jereth, or Pickles as friends like to call me. I'm a drummer from Manchester, England. I've played in multiple bands over the past 6 years, but my two more "Successful" bands were, Angel Of Demise", and "New Breed Hate Machine"

When I played in Angels Of Demise, this was my first serious band. Well, outside of college. We would rehearse every weekend, and write new stuff until our fingers bled. We played multiple gigs in and around Manchester. We only ever recorded one song, and that was our Self-Titled track, "Angels Of Demise", which is still available to listen to on Soundcloud.

Second band I was in, New Breed Hate Machine was more my playing style. Hard, Heavy, and in your face. Unfortunately, we never got chance to play any gigs live, but we practised furiously until we perfected the EP that our vocalist, Aidan, had wrote and recorded. Every time it came to rehearsals, I would be so excited to play this masterpiece that he had wrote. Just like A.O.D, Aidain's EP can be heard on soundcloud! He is currently working on a new EP.

I've been working on an album for roughly two or three months, which, instrumentally is now complete, and all of the vocals need to be added. Everything in the album was done myself. Artwork, Instruments, Vocals, videos, Mixing, Mastering. Everything. I am simply doing this for my enjoyment.

I shall be recording vocals for my album over the next month or so. This is due to my inexperience as a vocalist, and I want to get it right.

If you wish to see the track listing, and hear the tracks without vocals, check out the main page, or go to the "Music" tab!
